View Full Version : LW 9.61 Crashes at Render 'Mesh Freezing' Phase

Dang it! My previously 'happy to render' scene now crashes at the 'mash freezing' phase of render preparation.

The only thing I can think of is the followers I have added since my last render, as this is the only chage I have made.

Anyone had this issue before please?

kindest regards,

LWHound.

Must not like flowers :D

But seriously....
A) Are you using CC SubD's?
B) What is the render SubD level for the flowers? (and other things for that mater).

If you're using CCs can you switch to regular easily? ... i.e. no (or easily convertible) n-gons.
Then a high render subD should work.

If you can't switch, bring the render level way waaaaaaay down.
Try at the default as a test.

edit: also, I think that if you set the original CC level in Modeler to 2, it'll be much closer to LW subD density at 3. So that's an option also.

Many thanks for your reply JoePoe.

After experimentation, I found that changing the deformation order fixed my problem.

Glad you got it working. Alternatively, if you set your Preview Level to match your Render Level before submitting a render, you can avoid the Mesh Freezing process during rendering entirely. Depending our your scene, rendering may even go significantly faster when you do this.
