View Full Version : Rigging Distortion Problem After Bones Re-parenting

Hey,

I realised that my bones were parented incorrectly while rigging a character, so I re-parented them correctly with 'parent in place' enabled.

The model mesh then distorted horribly in the lower half (see enclosed pic) with deformation enabled (I'm using LW 9.61). Bounces back to original mesh state when deformation disabled.

How can I recover from this 'hiccup' please? I tried scrubbing the timeline, and other remedies mentioned on the interweb, before asking for help here.

Take it back to 0, switch off bones, select all bones of mesh and press 'r' to rest or click rest bone orientation. That should sort it.
