Hi,

does anybody know how I can use Eclipse/PyDev to write Python scripts for LightWave?
How do I import the lwsdk into a Python project created in eclipse?

Thanks!
Rob

I'm also open for recommendations of another IDE that works. And how to set it up so that autocompletion works.

I personally hate Eclipse and have only begrudgingly used it when doing Java Google App Engine stuff (which was slick integrated w Google), but I cant stand it compared to Visual Studio or anything else, so I'm afraid I can't answer you on lwsdk in it.

So I tried out the community edition of PyCharm by JetBrains and I like it, though alot of times it's still super quick to use Notepad++ with syntax highlighting etc.

I am a pycharm user since version 2 and I even bought a license. In my opinion its simply the best python ide around and it works nicely with lightwave.
