hi guys, saw these great plugs on net which is intended for another 3d program.

Hope that lightwave can also acquire these plugs below and
would be great to see them on LW too.

Would really like to see an updated vehicle rigger. Unfortunately, the one above isn't mac compatible anymore. There's also a really useful looking tool in there that will animate items around chosen nulls, w_Throttle I think it's called. Would happly pay for a plugin that does that! Flocking is pretty good but not quite as simple.

Why is it not mac-compatible anymore ? It's just a script (haven't used for a while, this said).

Don't know! I did email Johan a while back (in the 10.1 days) but he didn't have a Mac to find the issues. Maybe worth asking kindly again?

As a scripter, a good guess would be that the problem lies with the file systems being different between Mac & Windows; and often situations in scripts with getting or parsing filenames and folders, works differently in Lscript. This was really the only area of difference in my scripts and is what caused my scripts to crash or error out on Mac if I didn't check the platform and do something else.

The only other different thing I can think of off the top of my head is launching / spawning other apps or scripts from within that script. One of my scripts launches explorer.exe to show the output folder with what my script generates - this sort of thing would also need to be accounted for. Otherwise things should pretty much work the same.

if the dev doesn't have access to a Mac to test, unless he's willing to share source, debugging would be cumbersome.

It's a shame that the source wasn't shared for vehicle rigger. I did ask a couple of times, but got no reply. It's probably a very simple oversight in the code. I paid for it back in the day and found it very useful.
