View Full Version : Parts floating by distance to null

I have a fractured rock (one layer) and I want its parts start to floating and going up as a null is aproaching that rock. I'm not a node master
so I would like you help me to get that. I suppose it would be using dpkit parts node but not sure how the nodes might be connected.

I've only got step 1 up so far, but this (http://justaddmilk.org/?p=484) might interest you. The nodes section will come next. What I'm doing here is not exactly what you're asking for, but can be easily adapted to do what you want.

How to get it (distance to object) using nodes : ftp://ftp.newtek.com/multimedia/movies/w3dw/Distance_Nodes.mov

What I get using another way (layer node, although I wanted to do that using nodes, time was my boss in this case). Very rough but it works because I want the parts to dissapear step by step
