I am a fan of the TV show "world's toughest fixes". I found after hunting around on YouTube that the line graphics effects [this nuke plant will be lifted like this etc] are done with

cinema 4d
after effects
okino poly trans

sO I wondered what the pipeline would be to do these kind of graphics with lightwave. Lightwave, after effects and NuGraph? I will admit that I had never heard of okino/nugraph etc until about 5 minutes ago.

I like this blueish line cadish style of graphics that World's Toughest Fixes uses. I'd like to have a go myself at doing it. I have after effects CS6 and Hitfilm ultimate if they help.

You mean the blueprint type effect?

Yes, basically that is what I mean.

Funny, I have a use for this right now but can't remember how to do it. I use to have a plugin (edge color or something) but it does not work in v11.x

So Swampy, what's the secret? :-)

Just create your blue surface, and then in the object properties select edge render and then your edge colour....

Like so.

Is that all? Lightwave makes it all so easy :)

The recent updates to Lightwave made working with outlines pretty trivial compared to previous versions, especially since you can preview it all in VPR and see edits in real time. I know for certain that made a lot of anime studios *really* happy :)
