Hello there,

I want to place sunbeds on beach. Some sunbeds must look different angles..

In HD instance i was doing it with shortest angle .. 119658

How can i place my meshes?

In Instance Generator/Rotation/ Alignment choices are giving me weird results:(

I guess - Instance Generator/Rotation/ Alignment/edgealign is giving good result. I will look at it..and try..

You mind sharing a screen shot? I'm trying to find this command and I'm not. Second time someone has mentioned it and I kinda want to know.

I believe it works the same way as hd instance. Model your object pointing in the positive z direction. Make polygons with a short side. Instance the object onto the polygon object. On the rotation tab of the instance panel set the Alignment to Edge Aligned. The instance will be placed at the center of the polygon and point towards the shortest edge of the polygon.

Put a polygon the same size footprint as the sunbed for where the sunbeds are going. Then rotate the polygon in the direction you want the poly to point the bed. Best to do the first one & check before you put them all in place or you may have the sunbeds all pointing in the wrong direction.

For my stadium seats:

I'm using long Isosceles Triangles. This is a link to the reasons why I was getting errors, as I was using squares as placeholders and it couldn't work out the shortest edge : http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?139010-LWCAD-Railclone-issue-trying-to-clone-stadium-seats-along-a-path&p=1357098&viewfull=1#post1357098

So in your case, if you 'weld average' the end points of each placeholder (for the direction you want your instanced sunbed to face) LW Instancing should behave properly.

Hope it helps.
