View Full Version : Simple Water Surface - Additive Edges Problem

It seems simple enough, but I get tripped up every time - I'll admit it. I need the edges to be more transparent than the centre channel, and one of the best ways is DP's Scalar Layer+, using a Y Thickness gradient; but even if I use the same value across the plane, I still get this additive effect from the surface beneath, making the underwater surface brighter. Or is this not as simple as I reckon? Would appreciate some help - thanks.

I hate that ... should have inverted the output to the reflection input ... idiot. Apologies.
