Can someone using either 11.6 or 11.6.1 try the following . Select multiple points on a mesh and try running chamfer and dragging and see if you get a crash? Seems to be working on edges and polys but I get a crash every time on points.

No crash here, just (unsurprisingly, I suppose) odd behavior. Though, from a machining perspective, I suppose chamfering generally applies to edges rather than points anyway, such as chamfering the edges of a drilled hole:

Confirmed, Instant crash here on simple 5/5/5 BOX and multiple points selected. Report it.

Rudy - It has to work on Pints also 'coz evee with real CNC machines you can Chanfer Corner of a BOX/Cube and only way to do it is to selct corner point and chamfer it ;).

BTW and on top of this other softwares can do it so yes it's a BUG and Yes it has to work for all three modes - Point/Poly/Edge ;).

Thanks for Checking. And yes, Chamfer should work on all selection filters.

Yes, chamfering corners makes sense. And it works OK that way for me, no crash. Wonder if there may be a config file issue, because my 11.6.1 install is relatively recent, with only a few configuration-type adjustments.

Sure, chanfering singe corner works fine here too, but try to select corner and like 10,15,20 points around it and THEN use chamfer (like hrgiger said problem is on multipel point selections)

At first I thought it worked and that it was the new render styles that crashed it, but I just needed to wiggle it about a bit longer, it's not instant for me.

I've sent Deuce some content and he wasn't able to reproduce it at first. But then they tried it on a Windows 8 machine and it crashed. I'm on Windows 8 as well so he's thinking its a Windows 8 issue.

Nope...it's a OS wide bug.

It crashed on my MacBook with OS X Lion.

What's the direct link (url) to the fog bugz report & can I add content to it?

I have a crash report waiting to upload :P

Hmmmm...

Don't know what to tell ya, but like I said, I can select a bunch of different points and it doesn't crash for me!

Edit: I take it back. Once I reach a certain number of points, it crashes.
