Hello everyone,

I am creating a futuristic race car using spline modeling and am having some trouble. I am having difficulty making the model flow realistically. Are there any tips or suggestions that someone has about making a realistic spline model?

I just put up a beginners tutorial on spline modeling but if you're serious about learning to model using splines I would consider buying Lewis's car modeling tutorial: http://www.foundation3d.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=77

Agree, it's an _excellent_ tutorial, esp. factoring length and amount of content versus the price, it's a real bargain! Take a look at the samples, and see if his "teaching style" works for you, if it does you'll be really glad you picked it up. Lewis includes so many useful tricks and tips, I'd still say it would be extremely worthwhile even for experienced LW modelers.

Add me to the list. Also, dunno if it is still available someplace, but the Chevy SSR tutorial DVD was very good, but a quick google didn't turn up anything current for it.

Also worth a mention is TrueArts EasySpline tools. Only bought it recently and have to say its put my workflow into turbo (and I've only scratch its surface).

EasySpline, the best spline modeling tool one could have. Very robust toolset and quite useful with more complex modeling tasks.

If i were modeling cars or anything REMOTELY SIMILAR to cars (appliances, spaceships) I'd buy EasySpline in a flash. That thing is crazy powerful.
