Just checking here, for an instructional anmation:

In the Northern Hemisphere, Moon phases seem to travel/evolve from right to left (West to East).

(I'm pretty sure about this but...) I'm assuming that, as you face the Moon in the Southern Hemisphere, that phases seem to travel/evolve left to right.

Right??!

Tnx

We'll take "right and "left" out of it. The Moon orbits Earth in a counterclockwise direction when viewed from above the North Pole. When viewed from above the South Pole, it orbits in a relative clockwise direction, but only due to looking from the other direction. Both are still West to East.

I figured. But it's good to check. Esp. when you're trying to avoid confusing 9 year olds. ;)
