I've died and gone to heavan.....this is a dream come true for me:)

The trip to Production IG was a real treat....The work they do has always blown me away. I got to see Innocence(Ghost in the SHell 2) being worked on and all I can say is....HOLY CRAP!

This is going to be one hell of a great movie!

well...on with the pix....It was a short ride on the subway...

Proton,

Cool pics. Man you must be the tallest guy in the country. :D

It's interesting to see everyone reading and working on the subway. It's a refreshing sight compared to a pic of a New York subway that is filled with thugs and lowlifes.

It's no wonder Japan is kicking our and the rest of the worlds *** in high tech.

Cheers,
JS

What was interesting was that even the older people were doing text messaging on the subway :)

Production IG, eh? Darn. I just watched the ending episodes for GITS:SAC and was blown away. Saw the Gits 2 trailer and, well, was blown away again.

I'm openly envious! Any more pics from the studios?

I really envy you Proton. I think Stand Alone Complex is one of the most sophisticated cartoons for television around. Will there be an interview up on newtek soon?

The subway doesn't look as crowded as it normally does!

Did you have to pay $30 for a bowl of clear soup, and $15 for a doughnut?

I think what he meant by the text messaging thing is that in the US (at least in my family) older folks tend to shun away technology. Not all, but a larger percentage.

From the sounds of it, it looked like a great trip Proton!

If you spend enough time on the sub-ways like I did, you'll notice some men peeking up the skirts of the school girls from behind the magazines.

Yeah, everyone is on cell phones there: e-mail, pictures, video conferencing (Thank you DoCoMo..), it's the bee's knee's.

Ahhh, Production IG.. yeah that must have been fun. But I want to go to Genki Soft and Konami more than anything.

It looks like you were there for a day Proton! You should have stayed at least 4 days and cruz to Akihabara.. and bring a lot of $$...

Mr Doughnut is cheap!! 100-130 yen!! I love Pan De Ring!!

An interview would be nice and some pics of the production would be cool toooooo.

And if you are going to post any new lw8 screenshots, be sure to start a new thread:p

can't believe how clean that subway and inside the ride, wow, not even one single piece of debris (gum wrapper, coffee cup, etc) on the floor. And i thought Canada was a clean place to live in, wow they got us beat big time.

lucky you, you get to eat those big japanese pears. so expensive here, it cost more than the price of a gallon of gas.

Think NT will ship L8 before you get back to the USA.

kidding,
more L8 pics please

Dude, in the exspensive "Love Hotels" there's a vending machine for: CosPlay (Costumes; nurse, cat-girl, school girl, dominatrix, ect...), beer, Cigs, and battery operated toys you would not let your kids play with...

Hey Lamont, have you ever tried going for a job at IG? Nope. I told my wife if she wants to move back, then I will look for jobs there. And I still want to dabble in games... so ProIG (!!) will come after Genki and other small game houses over there. ;) If I ever tried...

so . . . forgive my ignorance - what type of data is stored in a .RIG file?

Is it as it sounds and something to do with character rigging / mocap etc?
