Good Morning,

is it possible that newtek will take contact to Avid to get an AMA-Plug-In.?
A lot of big companies support this and it helps a lot.
It would be so easy and saves time to injest Tricaster and 3Play files.
At the moment it takes about 3times original lenght of a clip to ingest it in a MediaComposer.
It will help us to assure our customers to take e.g. 3Play instead of an EVS.

thx
Guido

Media Composer has QuickTime AMA support starting with MC v5. There is a problem with Media Composer v6.x AMA and TriCaster Quicktime 4:2:2 files (Quicktime 4:2:0 work correctly in these versions). Other versions of Media Composer (v5.x and v7.x) will link to Quicktime 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 files via AMA without issue.

If there something more you are looking for? If it is the ability to import TriCaster QuickTime files into Avid without transcoding, that isn't anything AMA can fix, the codec support found in Media Composer is limited to what Avid integrates into the software.
