Hi folks,

please can someone confirm that instances dont work with shadowmapped spotlights, and instances dont render in Classic Camera ?

Yes Classic camera don't render/see instances. Not sure about other problem but possible.

Shadow maps are not visible on VPR (they are converted to raytrace lights to skip the preprocess) it may just be that your shadow maps have too much fuzziness.

If You look at the screenshot, You see the final render doesnt show them, either.

No, I meant instanced objects (on particles) do not cast shadows from shadowmapped spotlights :)

You missunderstood my point. Shadowmaps ARE present in your final render, and NOT in the VPR render, what you see in the VPR render are really ray traced lights with hard shadows. Shadow mapped lights have soft shadows, so soft that they became invisible in your render.

I made those shadowlights, and they have a fuzziness of 1.0.

Hmm then it is a puzzle, what did you set the "shadow map size" to? Is cache on?

512, 1024, cache is off. I am puzzled, too, switch any other light, shadows appear, switch to spotlight, shadows gone. How bizzarre.
