ok i konw how to make the particles like with the emiters and stuff...but when i try to render something nowthign shows up..so how do i like acually make somethign out of the particles..like a tournado...i can make them go in the motion of a tournado but how do u acually see them when u render it...thanks alot guys

Lightwave's tutorials are your friend. (http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/specialfx/particlefx_tornado/particlefx_tornado.html) They tell you how to use FX_Linker, for one. (http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/animation/fx-linker/).

To sum it up, the particles that ParticleFX and friends generate aren't "real" in that they can be seen when you render. They're just placeholders, points in 3d space, which can then be replaced with LW objects (via FX_Linker) or (more commonly) hypervoxels. The manual has more details.

That second link there helps for doing shatered glass. I remeber doing it by hand and having to rotate each object and move each object independtly back in the day. Now just a press of a button or two and boom it works.
