With your help guys I've gottem better and i'm one sip closer to becoming a full blown, raging alcoholic.

How do you set up a cape in Layout? How do I keep the cape from going thru the mesh?

- I have the points at the neck Fixed.

- I've added bones to the cape.

Happy Easter, everybody. I love you all. LIGHTWAVE POWER!!!!!!!!

Well if you're hand-keying bones in the mesh then it's just a matter of you adjusting the shape per your animation. If you're trying to do it via dynamics, your body needs to be setup to be a collision object.

The cape and mesh is in one layer and deformes well. But when I enable dynamics and calculate, it no longer moves with the body.

The cape is not wielded to the mesh.

Any help... HELPS!

I'M READY FOR WAR! Almost...

I have a low poly copy of the mesh setup as a collision object to help prevent the cape from going thru the model. It still going thru the model for some reason once I calculate.

God spoke to me in the form of one of my inner voices I hear all the time. That voice told me to just use more collision objects to control the cape, you damn feewwl!

So, i'ma listen to that inner voice and drink some more.

One simple question? Is it best to have cape part of the mesh or as a separate layer?

Stop Shifting Shadows bro!

I found some tutorial vids for you which might help. They are quite old and use cloth FX, but still useful. Also check the youtube comments in case someone finds a better way of doing things.
