View Full Version : Unwanted camera shift - bug? Or me being dumb?

I'm getting a wierd effect I don't want.

I have a camera view set up for open GL, all fine and good, done with a camera viewpoint. But when I render, or change to VPR preview, the viewpoint seems to shift!

See the attached screen grab pair - all I did was change to VPR. Has anyone else come across this? And how do I stop it? Or am I doing something dumb?

It's the Daleks, they don't like humans.

Is it v11?

Yep, 11.5

Looking more closely, it's like the camera has lowered by about 0.2 metres, it's not a shift in angle...

Resolution of viewport (width x height) is different than in render camera settings.

You should check whether LW v11.5.1 and LW v11.6 behaves the same. What is sense mentioning issue that might be long time fixed?

Well, most LW upgrades don't let you upgrade ion place...

So why waste a potentially large amount of time re-installing plug ins, copying in presets, activating licences etc, when it might not do any good? And when someone might be able to tell me in minutes?

I rendered two mine scenes, and in either one Perspective Camera viewport matches VPR in LW v11.5.1..
Took two screen-shots for each, and switched back and forth, no difference.
But I might be lucky..

Thanks, it only seems to happen in one scene, but it.s very irritating!

Hit l to limited region your camera view too Nick. it might be that the extra space on the sides that is out of shot is having some effect?

I'm used to a shift in field of view - but if you look at the the two images, there's a definite shift in viewpoint. It seems that changing to VPR or rendering moves the viewpoint by about 0.15m vertically...

Could it be your aspect ratio?

Sorry, I still don't see how an aspect ratio can move the viewpoint.
Am I missing something?
