View Full Version : Need Arch Viz Renders and Quotes from Artists!

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be cutting together a short arch-viz specific video, in relation to a recent promotion we just did with LWCAD.

This edit won't be too long; something short, sweet, and to the point, but I'm in search of some of the best interior and exterior LightWave renders. Stills are okay, but even better if the camera is animated!

Along with the renders it would be nice to gather some quotes from the artist/studio that produced it. A quote combining LightWave, LWCAD, or the both of them together; just a bold, powerful statement explaining how LightWave works well for arch-viz projects.

This is a spontaneous video with a tight deadline, so I'll see how many responses I get by the end of this week and go from there. Of course full credit will be given to the artist/studio for their contributions.

If interested, please contact me at [email protected] and we'll get things going!

Cheers,
Cody

For any edit we release, it's best to say all assets was rendered in LightWave.

i guess it is not a good idea keeping it everything in LW only.

MAX has a great advantage called VRAY (others too)

SO it would be pretty heroic to compare LW's archviz renderer with the renders coming out MAX or other side (which they use heavily VRAY)

Also it would be a marketing mistake to cut all the ONLY LW ARCHVIZ RENDERS together, people may think LW is so LONELY that it does not have no support for external renderers ...

So i suggest gather all the coolest render coming from LW - no matter what renderer we use for it. Octane, KRAY, MAXWELL

Just an idea...

They probably can't show other renderers. In Siggraph they kept saying with lw its a complete package you don't have to "send" your scenes to other third party renderers. No need to buy other renderers. :D

By the way, Cody, when is the deadline for this? I guess it is not clear if you want to just scramble up a bunch of finished work or if you have time for some people to put something together. Would be good to know now in case anyone wants to start working on something.

Thanks for the questions/input guys.

We just can't show final renders that aren't directly from LightWave. Like Geo_n said, we always state how LightWave is a complete package at trade shows and being able to back up that statement by pointing them to reels that have renders in it fully completed in LightWave is a great thing.

@Surrealist - I'll make the deadline one week from this Friday, so the 20th.

Nice. And Iain should be considered.

I think it's all native LW.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I've been in contact with Engram Studios, and Iain as well. Both of their work is really impressive.

@Shiny_Mike Thanks for the link to MIR, haven't heard of them before. Some gorgeous renders!

Just a reminder that there is still this week to submit.

Cheers,
Cody

Don't forget this guy... truly beautiful renders: http://www.svenart.de/ I know he uses LW render for some of his shots, especially this one http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?122150-modern-livingroom, because he compares the speed of LW to Kray, Octane and Maxwell, saying he went back to LW because it was quicker (which would seem like a nice quote ;))
