It'd no doubt be more engaging and amusing if the mixing was better done. The music was great but attenuate it when dialogue is being spoken. Difficult enough for non-OZ people to immediately parse and process without the music stepping on their lines. In the case of alien species and the bot, there are no lip cues at all. Might bring it in and process out all but the midrange to see if I can extract the voices. Otherwise, at least on this surround sound system, I'm left with visuals, which are pretty darn well done. I'd just like to get the story line and character interactions for a complete experience.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. For anyone who's interested, here is a link to some turntables of the 3d models.

I'm from OZ and I find this hard to understand.

This is an interview with Michael Cox with snippets from "Star Wars Downunder".
The dialogue in the snippets seemed clearer to me than the trailer.

the plot - Merve Bushwhacker enjoys Amber Fluid, but Darth Drongo has captured all the Amber Fluid in the galaxy...and so on.

Michael - so very fun! Love it all, but must admit that the Lightarangs almost had me swallowing my tongue laughing.
My fingers ache from sharing this with everyone I know.. and a few I don't...

THANKS!

Hi William
I was wondering, do you still use Lightwave 3D? I learnt a lot of my Lightwave skills through watching your Lightwave video tutorials, I also have your book. But i have not really seen much new stuff from you for Lightwave.

Great visuals!

I would love to learn more about animated compositing, I will definitely look through the behind the scenes later.

Hi everyone. The finished 30 minute film of Star Wars Downunder is online (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhTn8cjm9ZM). Couldn’t have done it without Lightwave!

If you find some of the language a bit too hard to understand there is a subtitle track!
