Not really a "cool discovery," but we were scratching our heads wondering why LiveText was crashing every time we launched it. Turns out it was the HDMI-out on our TC855. We have the HDMI-out going to a Monoprice HDMI router and when that input isn't selected on the router, it crashes LiveText. Must be an issue with the TC855's video card, because we didn't have this problem with a TC850X. FYI!

BryanHarley,

We will be contacting you about this issue to get it worked out. We don't like hearing of any problems in our products ... Expect communication from QA in the next day.

It's been a while since the last activity in this thread, but I wanted to make mention here that we should have eliminated the strange behaviour where certain HDMI monitors (more commonly televisions), when connected to the TriCaster's HDMI output, could cause LiveText to crash. Our most recent builds of TriCaster and LiveText should contain improvements that would prevent this issue. However, if anyone knows of any similar issues, please let us know. It's unlikely, but it could be possible that, with the vast differences in hardware, there may be some monitor out there which could still pose a problem, so please let us know!

Thanks,
Jeremy
