In LiveText, go into Edit Text mode and right click in area where you edit the title. You should get a drop down list, in that list you should find items that have brackets following them []. It's a bit of trial and error to find the right one, so select one and you should see text appear with percent signs before and after it. Click on the Selection Tool (Arrow) in LiveText and it will change from the DataLink field name to the filled in information. If it isn't the right info, then delete it and try the next field in the list.

If you don't see any fields, first restart Livetext, if still no luck then DataLink isn't configured correctly or the RSS isn't formatted for the way that DataLink can read it correctly.

Hi,

I've tried 3 RSS , but i can't see them in LiveText. What do you mean by "RSS isn't formatted for the way that DataLink can read it correctly"?
Can you give me a RSS URL that worked or works for you?
Thank you!

By formatted correctly, I mean that there are different versions of RSS feeds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rss#Variants

Here is one that I've used that works.

http://www.rssweather.com/zipcode/60504/rss.php

You can put your zip code in the URL if you want to get weather information for your location.

Unfortunately twitter no longer offers and RSS feed as an option anymore. I once found a site that would take and Twitter feed and turn it into RSS (I don't recall the site anymore, you might be able to find it in these forums). Usually the issue is that you want to have some control over what tweets are allowed on-air, so you want to look at a CG solution with built in Twitter support with the ability to control the tweets.

Hi Kane.

I have been trying to get a facebook rss feed to work but have had no luck.
Do you know if these are the wrong format?

RSS: https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?format=rss20&id=192574850777897
ATOM: https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?format=atom10&id=192574850777897
JSON: https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=192574850777897&format=json

Best wishes,
Steve
