View Full Version : LW 9.6.1 License Key goes WHERE? (Mac)

This "should" be simple.

I'm trying to run Modeler 9.6.1 to hopefully recover an older object, but Modeler runs in Discovery Mode, even though my license.key is in the app's Preferences directory. It's been a LONG time, with so many other license issues changed since 9.6.1 ...

WHERE do I put my 9.6.1 license key, so I can run 9.6.1, not in Discovery Mode?

Thanks for any help.

(Mac Pro, OS X 10.8.4)

I'm in 9.6.1.... mine's in the SharedSupport folder.

You could also send me the model if you want, and I could try to open/re-save for you. (later today, going to be away from computer).

Thanks for the reply, but copying my 9.6.1 license.key to Shared Support doesn't work. :-(

Modeler wants me to "Register" my product, something done LONG ago ...

Any other ideas?

I remember there was something weird. Simple, but weird... like copying the number in by hand somewhere. But it's been a loooong time. Will try to force it from the back of my head.

Do you still have your dongle???

Yup. Dongle is still here. Do I need to call customer service (tomorrow)?

As far as I recall with 9.6, the license.key file goes in the same directory as modeler.exe.

I had mine in the Preferences folder.
Check you don't have two different License keys (32bit and 64bit), I think back then they used to be different numbers?
