View Full Version : UV'ing practice in LW turned into a digital painting - The Onion

This one started out as a practice in UV'ing in Lightwave but I was out of town with no internet to google info, and I really don't know a good UV'ing workflow for Lightwave, so I gave up on that, rendered out what I had managed and painted over it. Here are the results :)

It turned out excellent, only top/petal looks little weird but rest is spot on.

ohh bytheway does any one know of a good fundementals of UV mapping in lightwave tutorial... something showing a proper working UV workflow in modeler?

When tuto finish, then you must save the uv, go to File/export/eps , change view to Texture UV and save.

UV workflow inside of LW can be done through the new ABF UV Unwrap function (as in the video above) or you can use PLG plugins, you can even use the older method of cutting the geometry along your prefered seams and using morphs to flatten out your mesh and use the standard Make UV map functions inside LW to create your UVs, then do as Xes said re. export.
