Hi I want to have almost disc like voxels (sprites), so almost no soft edges, what's the best way?

Thanks!

Hi,
depends on the look you want.
-Use pixiedust for example and make it less fuzzy but then the overlapping edges are somewhat transparent. kinda prism effect, so the discs do not cover
each other completely.

-You can try hypervoxels, choose surface mode and you can flatten the voxels let's say along the Z axis (if you look along the Z axis too), this way you can make coin like things.
And switch off align to path.

hard to tell what you want, should they only be facing the cam, no real 3d depth?

by using just sprites..you could crank upp the density value to say 500, add local density gradients in either luminosity channels, color, opacity.
under the sprites shading tab you have also clips, here you can load still image clips or animated clips, lots of options here, but neither is volumetric or 3d, so suits best for things that doesn´t need that.
Also options to use dissolve channel.
