This looks really cool - and I'm about to buy a new CUDA GPU for my macPro (assuming Apple doesn't shock everyone by releasing new Pro hardware at WWDC!) - so, is there a mac version of Octane for LW in the works?

I've been trying out the C4D plug-in on Mac and it's very cool; beatifully integrated into Cinema with a dockable window, automatic conversion of C4D materials etc.

Dan, what system are you thinking of getting? I'm on a 2.5GB GTX 570. Until the new Mac Pros appear!

I'm hoping to get a GTX680. Only 2GB of RAM, but apparently otherwise near-identical in terms of performance to the K5000 - and about 1/3rd of the price. So far, I haven't found any vendors selling it yet though.
Looks like new Mac Pros are a way off yet....

Yeah, it's all processor-dependent, and no new Xeons till September. Ho hum.

The GTX 570 is good, if a little noisy when he fan gears up. Sadly, moving from 10.8.3 to 10.8.3 killed my After Effects support. Honestly this whole GPU/CUDA thing is a friggin' minefield. Welcome to the world of PC computing.

I'm about to put mine on ebay if you're interested. It is a superb card and works really well with Octane. I just needed more Vram. PM me if you're interested.
