View Full Version : Flock Generators using Polys

So, I've got a spinning object, set up as a mesh poly flock generator. Looking cool so far. But, what I'd like to do is have the initial motion of the agents inherit the motion of the generator mesh, to make it look even cooler. I've tried the Use Normals toggle in the Agent Takeoff panel, but it doesn't seem to do anything different when turned on, even with or without any initial velocities set. Not what the manual would seem to indicate should happen

Now, I have had a few problems whilst getting this far with crashes and disappearing agents, so I'm wondering if this is a bug I should report, or just a user ID10T issue. I'll try and duplicate the issue with a simpler scene, the current one is a bit messy and add it here in a bit.

Any thoughts?
