Can anyone tell me what causes these lines on my procedural texture and how to eliminate them?

My bad, it's the "Rock_3" surface preset. Surface Preset/Rock/Rock_3

Looks normal to me. Procedural texture probably has there brighter value.
If it's problem for you, switch to cubic projection, so procedural will fill it in all axes.
Otherwise, make uv, bake texture to image map, and use uv instead of dynamic projection.

Double check for 2 point polys which quite often happens when making text.

My guess was also 2 point polygons.

Yes it seems to be a geometry problem and non-surface : kill 2 points polygons, making a "Merge Points" and "Unify Polys".
