View Full Version : New Tally Controllers for TriCaster including TC40

At long last metaSETZ is announcing the new TLC-8S and TLC4S tally controllers.

The TLC-4S is designed for the four input TriCasters but actually has six tally output channels. These channels are assignable to any switcher input so you can have a tally light for network inputs, DDRs or media players. The TLC-4 also supports both program and preview tally. The 'Talent' tally can be globally disabled via software. We also included the popular intercom pass-through so you can run tally and intercom over a single run of cat5. Both controllers are compatible with any metaSETZ tally light.

The TLC-8S is an upgraded version of our TLC-8d and has all the features of the 4S but with eight output channels and two assignable dry contact GPI outputs.

A factory upgrade will be available for TLC-8d owners so they can get the new features.

Both units connect to the TriCaster via USB and require no external power.

TLC-8S Tally Controller List $495
TLC4STally Controller List $420
8d to 8S upgrade List $275

Scheduled to ship June 18. Contact your metaSETZ dealer (http://www.metasetz.com/find-a-dealer-2/) for pre-order info. because they will be in short supply initially.

is there a box that will just convert the 3.3v to a dry contact closure to connect to a sony ccu?

A metaSETZ TLC-6S has six contact closure outputs built in or a TLC-4S or TLC-8S could be used with the RU-2 relay units (1 per CCU) . None of these use the 15 pin tally port they are all software controlled via USB.

If you shop around on Mouser or Digikey you can get 3.3v relays and roll your own.
