Hi guys,

Here is a brand new question for you Lightwave experts: how do I reset Lightwave preferences?

In Maya I can throw the preferences folder in the trashcan, restart Maya and have it like if it was just installed from scratch.
How can I do the same thing in Lightwave?
I need a fresh installation and simply uninstalling it doesn't sort anything out.
I would like a situation where I even have to activate the license again.

Thank you very much in advance.

Mauro

Delete your config files(s). They're .cfg files.
It should be in c:\users\[you]\.newtek\LightWave\[version] unless you're manually redirecting them with the -c flag in your shortcut icon.

On a side note the .cfg files are ascii...so you could edit them in a text editor if you're feeling adventurous.

Thank you Nick!

About the ASCII files, I'd rather stick to my usual Maya ASCII files editing and not to mess Lightwave ones up ;)
