Hi All,

Just finished putting together a video on the work gone for a Flash game (built in Unity 3D) called 'Take On Blake'

https://vimeo.com/64232943 (https://vimeo.com/64232943)

Majority of was produced in Lightwave 3D with iPiStudio for markerless motion capture and Rhiggit Pro's FBK IK rig for ingesting and animated the mocap data. I learnt a ton on this project and it was fun working with Unit9 (http://www.unit9.com/) (our client and dev team).

Blake Griffin had to be modeled in 4 different ages (mirroring the TV ad campaign) and generic, customisable characters also had to be produced with weird facial bone rigs that worked with face mapping technology, allowing the user to capture there likeness onto the player.

In Lightwave 3D the animations had to be cleaned up, accentuated and then combined into one timeline before separating into character, net and ball FBX's. This relied heavily on motion mixer, MF motion baker and dynamic parenting. There were a few little hiccups to do with bone and weight renaming on FBX export that made the process not so smooth (Rebel Hill talked about this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clia07kKtKs)) and opening the scenes with all the mocap data in the end seemed to require 20GB of ram :S but overall the workflow was pretty solid.

Good looking game... and a bit addictive even though at first sight it looks a little bit to simple and repetative. Made a decent effort to map my face on the player... I looked like an ogre :)
