View Full Version : null (not) moving by IK-driven Bone? (problems with expression)

hi there.
Attached is a scene with a rigged and animated test arm. Itīs using IK.
Now, I want to make a null to move around in, letīs say, position X when a bone rotates in Pitch.
I canīt find a way to do it.
Even if I use the expression as a motion modifier and check "After IK" the bone wonīt drive anything.

This should work...but it doesnīt
The small scene has been packaged into the rar for your convenience. Any ideas?

Twice (sort of) in one morning.

With expressons you have to sue baking, and afterIK in the expression modifier only works with LScript expressions. Use nodal motion instead.

Ok, but I try the nodes for driving the displacement and the bone rotation info returns always the same value, no matter the frame...

EDIT: In fact, it doesnīt matter if I try with Bone Info or Channel info...they both return the same static value...the only way around it is to bake IK rotations?
