I'm excited about the NAB announcement of the 3Play 4800 mainly because of one feature... the ability to see the recorded Camera angles associated with each Clip Event. I'm waiting to see a demo video of it in action, but this has been a feature our tape/3Play operators have talked about before. As you can see in this image (http://www.newtek.com/images/stories/marketing/3Play/interfaces/3Play-4800-Numbered-Interface.jpg), the interface shows the video of each Clip Event and the NewTek page says "CLIP MONITORS - Preview all clip angles from a recorded event simultaneously, while the action continues in your live desktop monitors. Clip Monitors can be embedded in the user interface, multi-view display or both."

I can't wait to give it a shot. Brian

Everyone who has had their hands on one long enough to being to grasp how extremely cool it is has been blown away ... not something you expect in a replay product. :)

Does this mean the 820 is old hat and will be upgradable to this ?

I honestly don't know what the upgrade possibilities might be, Adrian, but I'm sure the Sales people will be able to respond once they recuperate from the show, if not before. (I will say, though, that 820 remains as potent as the day someone bought one, and is thus far from 'old hat'. ;) )

Sorry emotive word taken back... and I just realised you are working today so my other post is not valid :)

Yes, you can check your local reseller soon for upgrade offers.

Hopefully the upgrade from 820 to 4400 (when it arrives) will be ok. don't punish me for being an earlier buyer pre 425 :)

4800 - Can this Clip Monitor be used on the 3plays Multiview out or a separate monitor altogether?
