I had plans to go to the countryside house but bad weather and wife with flu changed that.

3D render of asteroid collision animation for display on 3D TV test, diving back into node coding, short film editing, musical score writing, and possibly some screenplay writing.

At some point there might be sleep, but I'm not sure where I can fit that in.

A weekend in Brisbane. Currently sitting in a cafe that I found that has free Wifi and reading the forums, back to the hotel soon to see what that looks like and then more aimless wandering to see what this City has to offer.

Am assembling home PC (CodeAaron). Last time was about 5 1/2 years ago (similar setup). Cost of parts is about the same (5k usd, monitors included). Tech between now and then has improved drastically. Old one had only 8Gb RAM, this one has a full tank. Old one had software RAID5 card, this one has hardware RAID5 card.

03/05/13 All parts arrive from Newegg / many separate deliveries (days apart)
03/06/13 See attached photo ( Lian Lee should be spelled Lian Li)
03/09/13 First Power On (RAM recognized OK)
03/12/13 Win7x64 reinstall (my bad): only one HD attached
03/13/13 LSI RAID5
03/15/13 Still waiting for RAID volume to initialize (takes at least 30hr)

Spoke privately to Lewis: he is all for overclocking the CPU from 3.5ghz to about 4.2ghz. My original intention was not to overclock (for reliability-longevity). Maybe I will post both ways on the Benchmarkmarbles thread.

Saturday morning: Expense report.

Saturday afternoon and Sunday: Stare at the screen in my hotel, enjoying my last weekend of privacy before retiring to my overpopulated home forever and finally being with my wife and children everyday. Beer will most certainly be involved.

Restoring the hard drive data on my Mac desktop after replacing a crashed drive. Then a big St Patty's Day party at my brother-in-law's. I met his sister at such a party 15 years ago, and since he's now my BIL you can guess how that turned out. ;)

Special weekend for us.

Just got a small DMX controller and some lights. Set it up last night and all is working, so today will involve learning to program it.

I know at some point it will definitely involve beer...probably many. :beerchug:
