MIDIDOLL
MidiDoll is a software developed to provide local and remote management of the audio within the TriCaster XD portable production systems developed by NewTek Inc.
This software can be operated from a compatible MIDI controller, such as the behringer BCF2000 MIDI console. Other MIDI controllers could also be used, despite the drawbacks of requiring certain manual configuration for that purpose and lacking of specific technical support for them so far.
MidiDoll was designed in order to help TriCaster operators, as it makes it possible to install a physical audio control table, as well as to reduce the workload of video operators entrusting the audio control to a different person who operates it either locally from a MIDI console directly connected to the TriCaster or remotely from a PC connected to the network.
TriCaster models currently supported by MidiDoll include: TriCaster XD 40, 300, 4XX, 8XX and 8000.
MidiDoll consists of 2 basic applications, namely MidiDoll Remote and MidiDoll for TriCaster. Both applications are independent and are designed for different scenarios. No need to install both versions. You only need to install one of the versions, depending on where you wishes to use the program.
MidiDoll Remote. – This application shouldn't be installed on a TriCaster computer. It is designed to be installed and used on a computer separate from the TriCaster, as long as they are connected to each other across the same local network. This application enables the remote control over the Audio Mixer of your TriCaster system from a different computer or laptop.
The application can be managed by means of a simple mouse or optionally connecting a behringer BCF2000 MIDI console from where MidiDoll Remote application can be operated.
MidiDoll for TriCaster. – This application is designed to be installed on a TriCaster computer, and it appears in TriCaster as an add-on. It enables the control over TriCaster audio mixer from a behringer BCF2000 MIDI console directly connected to the TriCaster device.

The developer recommends the use of the MidiDoll Remote application rather than the MidiDoll for TriCaster
add-on. Although this add-on has been exhaustively tested in TriCaster systems to avoid interference with the operation
of native TriCaster Software, NewTek strongly discourages the installation of any third party software. Therefore, it is
highly recommended to use the MidiDoll Remote application instead.
