I remember one of the spider scenes which came with LW7 or LW8 content in which spiders were walking using cyclist plugin and some expressions i guess. It was pretty smart way as far as i remember.. the spider was setup in such a way that it perfectly adopts the walk cycle in keyframes between two points in Z direction..It used to walk slow and fast automatically depending on the path keyframes. Any tutorial up there to learn that technique with cyclist plugin?

I think that content came with LW9. Maybe someone still has it.

Apparently there's also tutorial for this in one of Dan's books.

Cyclist links an "animation clip" (range of keyframes) to the channel value of some other item.

So... If you have something walking with a given "step length", then u can take a single animation of the legs performing that cycle, and link that "clip" to the motion of an item moving forward... move the item forward faster, and the legs will cycle faster, because the playback "completeness" (for all puposes its speed) is linked to the channel value of the driver obejct.
