I have also an issue.

I have a ground plane ... Front Projected Mapped ... I need to BAKE that Front Projection onto UVMAP . But i cannot get what i want. I tried different Direction References - Polygon normal - Mesh Origin and Camera Direction - All looks terrible :( Am i doing something totally wrong??

This one might help. http://www.jqoc.com/soft/Lightwave-Tutorial/20071208/1023.html I'm sure there are others - Google is your friend. :) And a recent example here:http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?134189-Office-loft-interior&p=1307605&viewfull=1#post1307605

I put out a series of tutorials on camera mapping in LW 9.6 a few years back. They were focused on using Imagemodeler/Vtour with LW but the lightwave parts are still relevant. You can find them here:

Try the Surface Baking Camera. In it you select your object and a UV map for it (make one first in modeler) and it will render out that object's image map as the UV which you can then apply using the same map to the original object.
