Hi. I just finished modeling new models for product called Cars 2013 for most Lightwave friendly company, which is Dosch Design. All made in 47 days of hard work and completely in Modeler. Rendering also made in native render engine. ( plus color correction and some post in ACDsee 6 Pro ) Check my blog for little more about models and few work in progress shots.

I would have trouble modeling 1 car like that in 47 days never mind 15 of them. Awesome work, especially for the fast turnaround time! If I decide to purchase the dosch 2013 car models then i will know who makes them. I'm sure your car models will show up in lots of work especially Arch-Viz work.

Arch-viz is obvious target in this case. I tried as always to make them as good as it can be done in 3 days each. So for that time I can`t compare my models to guys who love certain car and model for weeks every screw and every shape in rear light mirrors.
Tempo of modeling in my case is just practice. My first car model was awful and I was struggling for 5 days. Now, basically after I made hundreds of them I have solutions and tricks to make them in 2 days when it is necessary.

You should be next "Lightwave Power Artist"!:)

It is jus amazing. I sometimes visit your blog and i'm always impressed of modeling speed.

I have to visit your blog to see these because of this forums slow and painful image viewer. I'll drop a comment there.

Starting car modeling by making concepts is bad idea. My first cars was concepts and it was disaster beyond everything You can imagine.
Best way is to make 4-5 cars based on good blueprints to understand process well enough to make everything what You imagination tells and not cutting corners.
Good idea is also to use some existing car model to remodel it while maintaining proportions.

Not as much as You think. Render time in fulHD was 5-6 minutes and with lots of AntiAliasing.

I`m not sure. It is not discussed with me but usually they need 2-3 weeks to make final product.
Just check www.doschdesign.com

Yet another great set Mariusz. It still amazes me just how quickly you produce these. 'Power Modeler' of cars!

Excellent work fazi and fast turnouround :).

BTW do you have complete floor/underside on these cars? I had chance to work with few older Dosch car models in past (i think it was 2007/2008 cars from Dosch) and none of them had floor gometry whcih is bad for shadows and using double sided materials is not really good solution to get proper shadow under the car.

I always do floor geometry, I mean I do this for Years now maybe except first pack when I was still learning.
Later few changes was made in modeling process, mostly due to strange problems with other applications and render engines. For example I need to add depth with geometry to all transparent materials like windows or glass in the headlights
because V-Ray or some other engine can`t handle "flat glass".

Anyone who are curious ow this models are constructed from technical point of view can download my free BMW 760 Li model published here on the forum or on the lightwiki page.
All models have the same elements, same names for materials and same simplifications like floors, interiors ant other parts not essential to exterior look of particular car.

Ahh cool good to know it's better modeling now then :). As for windows depth yeah i knwo what you mean and i always do depth for all materials even headlights glass and so on and for windows i use 4-5mm thick glass (except front windshields, that's thicker due sandwich construction), every material has some thickness anyway so it's best to thing that way when modeling, esp. now when we have native Thicken tool ;).

thanks for info.

Nice work, specially in the time. I'd go nuts making that many in that time...lol.
