Hey kids,

Here's something to start off your week: A new plugin for Modeler (tested in LW 11.5 & 11.03 though probably will work in 9.6 -10.x) which lets you generate curves from audio waveforms in WAV files.

Here's the UI:
111673

and here's an example waveform curve it created:
111674

It works pretty well, but only works with Uncompressed PCM WAV formatted files. The plugin is an early alpha release and may crap out with obscure wave files or very long ones - but do you really wanna make 100km long curves of the Dark Side of the Moon (or whatever Fallout Boy's album is)? ;)

Check it out here (http://phtn.me/appswaveformfitter)!

I've got some cool ideas to add features to this, so stay tuned and tell me what you think and if it works for you. Thx!

Oh and please follow @photonstudios (https://twitter.com/photonstudios) on Twitter for updates and new plugin releases...

Updated the script. Get the new WaveFormFitter v0.94 here. (http://phtn.me/appswaveformfitter)

Some minor bug fixes:

WAV file info width & heights now update
plus more kinds of WAV files supported - now wav files with LIST chunks can be loaded too (if you don't know what this means, it just means that even more Uncompressed WAV files will work now without errors).

NOTE: if the download link still tries to download v0.92 and not the latest v0.94, then please clear your browser cache and try again. Thanks!

so... any feedback anyone? Crashes? Errors? Is it working for you?

I'm going to do an update in a few days that adds a few features including trended smoothing for outputting amplitude curves - not just the waveform, but effectively curves that follow the volume intensity. Let me know if you have any issues that you need addressed in this next update.
