View Full Version : Point clone plus should rotate and scale morphs

The point clone plus tool is very handy. But if the object you are cloning is being randomly rotated or scaled the morphs get messed up badly. It would be great if point clone plus would rotate and scale the objects morphs along with the object.

Would doing it with instances instead be the way to go?

instances are probably the way to go, but putting that aside:

How would that work? Would PC+ make a new endomorph for every instance of the original geometry?

Yes you can achieve the same effect with instances. But it is a multi step work around. If the cloning is just one step in your modeling process its a pain to have to create the instances in lightwave, convert them to geometry and then combine them back into a single mesh. It just seems logical for Point Clone Plus to do its thing on the morphs also. Why would you not include that basic functionality into a tool like this?
