View Full Version : ModelingTools/Deformations in Layout "seeing" objects pivots

Scene file attached to illustrate the idea. Hit 'Play'.

Basically say one could select multiple objects in layout call a stretch tool, see a bounding box and have the objects' positions being stretched, without stretching the objects' meshes themselves.

Now say the same for a bending deformations or simply a Move tool with falloff or weights being used.
In a nutshell what I think I'm trying to express is part of:
-Mesh vertices treated as objects.
-Objects pivots treated as Mesh vertices

Ah thanks!

As for scaling positions toward the camera I managed a simple solution, though it's required to "rig" with -same as item-.

Well it only works because you're deforming the points which place the instances. Wouldn't work on regular geometry. Still, a cool demo of what's possible with instancing!

Hence me being in the feature request section :D

I can't parent or reference instances like I can object, can I?

Cheers

You can use a Node Item Motion and parent your objects (position/rotation) to point's - DP_Kit tools.
