View Full Version : Advert: Space Toon: Volume One Tutorial for LightWave 11.5

02-06-2013, 03:58 AM
I am happy to announce the release of my latest LightWave 3D tutorial available now at Liberty3d.com.
Space Toon: Volume One

A little info:
- Project based
--- focuses on the use of tools rather than explaining all of the features of each tool
--- Starts from scratch and covers making the environment, modeling, surfacing and edges, through to animation
- Over 4.5 hours of video and that's after I cut some stuff out and fast forwarded through some repeted steps
- Some mistakes were left in because it's helpful to see how to fix them or try something new
- Includes the models and scene files
- Includes another scene file and render with more edge variations
- If you hear strange noises while watching it, it was probably my dog
- I'm tired and need to go to sleep now

Yes. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was working with a different pipeline this time and there was a problem with the editor interpreting the footage. The odd thing was that some of the clips were fine and others were not. When I was figuring out the best compression settings for export, I happened to be looking at one of the good clips, so I missed the fact that some of the videos had problems.

I fixed the problem videos and I emailed a link to you with just the corrected videos, so you won't have to redownload everything. The files on Liberty3D.com have also been updated with the replacement videos.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, but everything should be fine now.

Great tut but perhaps too fast. Can you make it slower with After Effects?

If you are talking about the advert posted above, it just shows selected clips played at a high frame rate to give people an idea of the content.

If you are talking about the tutorial itself, you can try using another video player such as the VLC player (http://videolan.org) that allows you to adjust playback speed.

Also, in some of the repetitive parts modeling parts of the Space Toon tutorial, I either cut out or sped up some of the footage because I figured you didn't need to watch me perform the same task over and over and over again in real time.
