I tried searching... But the only thing I see that answers these questions is buying add-on plugins or tools..

So can you, natively in LW:

Trim or extend a spline to an intersection? Draw 2 splines, with overlapping or intersections... Then can I trim to intersection? Or if I have 2 splines that can be extended to intersection, can that be done, Like the top of the letter "A" that the two vertical splines don't quite intersect, but would if extended? A very, very basic "CAD" function.. But I can not find anywhere to do such a thing in LW...

Next..

I am trying to "Snap" to existing geometry. In a competing (well, every application I have ever used in 25+ years) you can snap to an existing end point, mid-point, point, vertex, etc.... I can not find this in LW. So far closest I can come if to "G" the point to center of view and zoom in as far as possible and get them visually as close as possible. Now if I just want to align them in vertical or Horiz, it becomes a strictly eyeball alignment.

And I am in a "Locked Down/Secure" environment, so can not share/upload example. But these should be simple, so hopefully the description is simple.

Thank you,

Scott

If there would be built-in tool nobody would bother making 3rd party tool for doing the same task..

Cross spline interactive tool from EasySpline http://www.easyspline.com is doing it

Thank you. So basic spline tools are not there.

And snap to geometry? Seems like he same answer? I can not for instance translate a poly/geometry to have 1 point snap to another point on another existing point/poly?

Like this?

shift-g is Snap Tool for single point to single point snapping.

But for projecting one geometry to another geometry there is needed Push http://www.trueart.eu
It's interactive tool, so you can use it to retopology. Or projecting splines to existing bg layer. Then join splines and you have spline cage of bg geometry.

Thank you. Snap Drag sort of does it.

Not the full functionality/flexibility I am accustomed to, but looks like by changing views and "View" only alignment I can get it to work to some degree.

Thank you, the spline tools are really more what I would expect in a basic CAD functionality. They are built into my standard tool I use, but at office they use LW, so have to learn a new workflow. Looks like Illustrator is my new friend for outline/spline creation, then into LW.

Px_Sp_Move is probably what you need, it's much better than snap drag. http://www.pictrix.jp/?p=6014

Except for high density meshes, where Snap drag is much faster.
