Hi guys, I'm in the immigration process to Canada and curious about LW jobs in Toronto area. Does it's realistic to find something there ? Is it worth it to post CV on monster.com or Craigslist, does CG market use these resources ?
Here is my demo reel : https://vimeo.com/41852875 Any advice will be appreciated.

Excellent work. Your icon is a little scary though! Maybe the goose?

Just fyi, around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), seems to me that kijiji gets a lot more local use than Craigslist: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/ (I'm not sure how relevant it is for CG jobs, but ...)

'Back in the day', there was a cg group there called TAZA. I think it morphed into something else, maybe someone will be more up to date than me.'

Most of the available 3D jobs here in Toronto are Maya gigs... or Cinema 4D for motion gfx.

That's why I am now doing VFX compositing for a living! :(

I can't offer advice on jobs in Canada, but I just wanted to say how well your reel comes across. I like how it tries to be seamless and jumps from project to projects, but in one continuous story.

Agree, brilliant reel, full of really impressive we'll crafted scenes.

Thanks for the good words guys and for the help. If somebody interested here is my web site with more stuff and info : www.4u4avfx.com (http://www.4u4avfx.com)
Pity what LW vanished from Toronto, i went thru the list of companies listed at 3dcanada.ca and seems that everybody use Maya or at last Max (which is good for me but i prefer LW). I know that Pix Ray was using LW and constantly looked for LW artists, but seems like they switched software.

Bruce Richardson (http://www.videolink.ca) probably knows who is using LW in the Toronto area about as well as anyone would.
