View Full Version : ClothFX versus MorphMixer: recording point deformation /scene attached

I'm testing various approaches over on the "Uneven Surface" thread, and have run into a roadblock:

It seems (?) Fx_hardLink will only work with a Dynamic Effect.
I'm using MorphMixer to deform a plane, then
using ClothFX to update FX_HardLink to deform a 2ndary object. But I haven't got it to works since my first attempts.

(Now) When I go to use ClothFX, it seems to override MorphMixer, resulting in no displacement.

Maddeningly, I did get this to work a couple times, but somewhere I must have taken a misstep.

Any ideas?

GOT IT! (I think.)

I was forgetting to use "SCAN MOTION", which is basically the whole entire point of adding ClothFX.

(Thing is, I don't remember using at all the first couple times...)
