Hello everyone.

If one were to save a LW object as an .OBJ object in order to be brought into PhotoShop for 3D file conversion (.U3D with a final destination as a 3D Acrobat file), the file comes in grey and losing it's textures.

Is there a way to retain textures in LW export or is it an import within 3D settings of PS I should be looking for?

I've tried painting the object directly in PS but it only applies paint orthagonally, really a mess.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Tyler

You should have the textures in the same folder as the OBJ, and maybe try a different file format export from LW, like Collada.

Thanks for the reply.

But PS won't read Collada, will it?

Thank you!

OK, now I realized I screwed up the post.

I'm losing the texture on the export to U3D. It's all grey when I open it in Acrobat. (It comes over in PS from LW OK).

Sooooo I guess this is outside the realm of a LW forum help issue.

Unless there is a LW texture export I need to coat the PS export with?...

If that's at all possible.

Anything's possible on Mondays.

Or is it hopeful?

Thanks.

I thought PS could load Collada?
