Yeah... which part is crazy?

Is it:-
a) That some companies are rapacious, immoral thieves?
b) That some people are so idiotic that they sign a contract without reading it?

I made that look like a multiple choice question, but it isn't.

I any case, what other options are there. It's not like any of the competitors out there are doing any better. I mean what other sites help and give a means to place ads on your videos. I know Blip.tv and openfilms do, but they also have their drawbacks.

You can already monetize videos on youtube without Machinima. What entices the users is the larger viewership which leads to more $$$, or so they think.
The only thing wrong is people signing these contracts without understanding them (if they really read them at all).

Very true Cryonic. But you understand that as partner of these networks or Youtube you get promoted with or without a search . There's alot other things you lose or gain .
