Speed Modeling Challenge #202 - Pinball Machine

*************************************************
110292

Rules:

1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger.
3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug-ins are allowed.
4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
6. The winner is judged by the challenge starter and the prize is to set up the challenge after next week's.
*************************************************

This week's topic: Pinball Machine. The full machine or any part off including bumpers, ramps, scoring wheels, backbox, ball, flipper, special feature, spinner, etc.

Good catch. 0 would be a little limiting. Thanks

Ha, most of my life I fixed Pinball machines for a living. It's going to be tough time wise but I might have to try this one.

Well, I spent way too much time on the legs and ran out of time. Here is what I got done in the time allotted.

Wow, Sublimationman, that looks pretty sharp to me. Don't forget to post the wires so its an eligible entry. I think this is a great start to the challenge. Nice job.

And as a reminder to all, only the modeling has to fall within the 60 mins.

OK here's the wires. I got a little further since the first post but not in the time frame.

A full table in 60mins is a big ask!

Very cool XswampyX!! I did state that any part of a machine is also acceptable. Your entry is good as long as the wire is entered as welll. I really like the ball's expression.

I've been wanting to do one of these for a while. It took me 58min to model and about 20 to figure out the polygon coloring and render the wireframe. Will try and post a render later.

Nice job everyone. Game Over. Those are some really good entries!

sublimationman – you started off the challenge with an ambitious effort shooting to create the whole machine. What you have looks fantastic and the wires are excellent. I’d like to see it rendered out if you finish it up. Great job!

XswampyX – You always have great wires and this one is no different. I had to laugh when I saw your entry. I was thinking this is a first-time pinball and he doesn’t like it very much. Great entry!

sandman300 – Excellent entry also. It almost makes me want to drop in a few coins. The wires look good. Job well done!

JoePoe – Very nice modeling. I’d love to see this one rendered out also. I can just imagine the ball ricocheting off those bumpers.

This one was close, but I have to give the Extra Game to …… JoePoe! Congratulations and great job all, thanks for playing.
