Hello everyone,

i need to realize snow particles.

How can i make the particle more bigger and visible next to camera and smaller and less visible when distant from the camera?

There are particular trick to achieve this?

Thank you

By the nature of perspective the particles further away from the camera will appear smaller than those close to it. But if you want more control you can apply a gradient texture to the particle size in the hypervoxels panel, setting the input parameter to 'Distance from Camera'. Apply a similar gradient texture to 'Dissolve' to get them to fade out as they get further away from the camera.

I'm trying various settings without have good results. Should i control the emitter > particle > texture parameter, or the hypervoxel texture parameter?

Thank you

I'm no expert on particles but I usually control this kind of thing in the hypervoxels panel as that controls the look of the particles.

How to set the values?

Alpha from 100 to 0, for example.... or 0 to 100? I mean which direction?

110283

Use the value text field.

So this goes from 100 - 5% (5% being at the bottom of the gradient)

So the "Start" represent the nearest point from the camera and the "End" is the farthest point?

Exactly.

I have to find the best setting for a big scene with various size objects.

Trying the settings from Start to End (nearest to farthest) i see snow particles only in the upper side of the image, but at the bottom there are very low snow particles.
Maybe somethins is wrong with my settings?

Can you post a screen grab image?
