I'm working with hypervoxels and simulating dust. When rendering the dust with matte objects I get this pictures.

At color one you can see a kind of banding even when I'm using dither... any idea how to fix that?

I know this doesn't help (directly, anyway), but I ran into a similar problem using surface HVs to simulate vegetation. It seems to have something to do with distance from camera - in my case you could see clear bands of color moving across the HVs as the camera moved closer or further away. Unfortunately, I could never find a solution and wound up using hard geometry instead of HVs. Good luck!
