For many of you this is properly a stupid question...

I just bought a Gigabyte GV-N680OC-4GD GeForce GTX 680 Graphic Card - 1071 MHz Core.

It says nothing about how many CUDA cores is available, but it says it is CUDA compatible. Right.

But it says it has 1536 Stream Processors?

As fare as I know CUDA is just a fancy word for Stream Processors? Right?

But then again, will After Effects, Premiere CS 5 (6) and Octane look at the Stream Processors as CUDA cors?

Thanks :-)

As long as you have nvidia drivers properly installed your cuda application should make use of that functionality, however adobe cs6 will only work by default (unless they've updated cs6 since release) with some cards http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html
